Playful Furnishings

Forbes and Masters decided to integrate an elevated hammock into the cabana as a fun and unexpected seating option. They chose a thin frame so it doesn’t overpower the space. "It’s very inviting, but it’s not obstructing the beautiful view or stealing all of the attention away from the room," Masters says.

Mural Moment

On a curved wall at the entrance, the duo installed a mural that depicts the wedding scene from the movie Coming to America. It adds energy and vibrancy to the room, while taking advantage of a space that otherwise wouldn’t get much use.

Indoor-Outdoor Functionality

Because the cabana is located off the pool space, Forbes and Masters deliberately selected materials that are indoor-outdoor friendly, from the tile on the floor to the upholstery on the day bed. "We wanted it to be able to still function with someone coming into the room with their bathing suit on," Masters says.
